I am a Strasburg native, graduating from Strasburg High School in 1979. I went on to James Madison University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 1983. Along with my 35-year banking career, primarily as a Commercial Loan Officer for First Bank’s Home office here in Strasburg, I am also a Certified Financial Planner.
In addition to providing our community with guidance and advice in banking services, this important area of expertise has also proven to be invaluable to my personal success in real estate investing, which began in 1984. I have lived here all my life and know the people of Strasburg and Shenandoah County and surrounding areas extremely well. I love this area and is dedicated to my community. I believe the key to my success in both banking and real estate is being committed to exceptional customer service that only comes from getting to know people and fully understanding their needs.
I have two grown children and 4 grandchildren and are very active at St. Paul Lutheran Church where I serve as Treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee. During my time at the Bank, I was actively involved with numerous charitable and civic organizations.

I have years of experience in new home construction, extensive home renovations, single and multi-family investment properties as well as commercial real estate. I am also an avid fan of all Washington sports teams, especially the Redskins and Nationals, enjoy traveling, going to the beach and playing golf when I can find the time.
