Home Flaws Buyers Should Overlook
We all envision finding a perfect house but quickly realize… no house is perfect. Every house has a few
minor flaws… and things that can be easily fixed shouldn’t deter you from buying a house. Let’s take a
look at what we mean by minor flaws.
Things like unappealing paint. Repainting is very easy and affordable. Even unattractive wallpaper can
be removed and replaced inexpensively.
Drab window treatments or ripped window screens are things you might notice when you first enter a
home, but both can be replaced with new ones.
It’s also not too costly to repaint or replace tired doors or cabinets – and doing so is a great do-it yourself
project.
Outdated electrical or plumbing fixtures are also common and can be updated to ones that you like.
Your home inspector will probably point out some of these minor flaws. Feel free to ask questions to
verify that the issues really are just minor.
