Some of the Many Household Uses for Baking Soda
Many people use an open box of baking soda in their refrigerator to absorb odors, but did you know
that baking soda can be used to safely clean many other things in and around your home? Here are just
some of the many ways:
Pour a cup of baking soda down the drain of your kitchen sink to eliminate odors in your garbage
disposal.
Sprinkle baking soda in the bottom of your garbage cans to deodorize them too! Or freshen up your
dishwasher by adding it to the rinse cycle.
Baking soda is also a great tool to use for cleaning in general. Use it mixed with water to clean the
inside of your microwave, to remove food stains from an oven, to remove food stains from plastic food
containers, to pretty-up tarnished silver or to wipe down dirty patio furniture.
Baking soda can also be used to clean up oil or gasoline spills in your garage or to deodorize your pet’s
litter box.
Baking soda has the power to freshen and clean countless things in your home!
