You probably use your garage to protect your cars and to store some items you don’t use a lot. But certain
items should never be stored in a garage. Here are a few and the reasons why:
Propane tanks. These should never be stored in closed areas.
Paint cans… since temperature changes can make paint unusable.
Canned food. Always store canned foods in a cool, dry location.
Wine. If you don’t want it to spoil… store it elsewhere.
Firewood should be stored outside and away from your home to avoid pests.
Never store wooden furniture in your garage since it will expand and contract with humidity and temperature
Clothing kept in a garage for long periods can lead to mildew and other damage.
And finally, electronics. Humidity and temperature changes can cause them to short out.
A garage is a great storage spot, but it often becomes home to materials that shouldn’t be stored
there. Storing the wrong items in a garage can pose a danger to your health and safety.
