Dust is something you can get rid of… but it keeps coming back. The first line of defense against dust is prevention,
so here are some ways to control dust in your home.
Change your bedding at least weekly. If you have allergy problems, consider encasing your mattress and pillows in
zippered, allergy reducing covers.
Keep closets tidy – and vacuum and dust them regularly.
Electronic devices like tv’s and computers attract lots of dust, so use a microfiber cloth to keep them clean.
Carpeted floors also attract a lot of dust, so be sure to vacuum them at least weekly with a vacuum that has a HEPA
Change your furnace filters every three months and consider adding an electronic filter to your home’s HVAC
system. This can be somewhat expensive but electronic filters trap dust like a magnet!
Avoid using feather dusters since they tend to just move dust around and cause it to settle in another place.
It’s impossible to eliminate dust completely but follow these tips and you’ll stay ahead of the dust game.
